Accessibility Statement

Hormonal Health Portal is committed к ensuring digital accessibility for people с disabilities. We continuously improve user experience for everyone и apply relevant accessibility standards.

1. Conformance status

We aim к conform с the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard, the international consensus standard developed by the W3C к make web content accessible к people с disabilities.

Current status: Partial conformance. We meet most WCAG 2.1 AA criteria; some content does not yet fully conform. We audit quarterly using axe-core 4.10 + manual screen-reader testing (VoiceOver + NVDA).

Most recent audit: 2026-06-03. Violation count across 4 audited pages: 2 (down от 87 — 97.7% reduction since baseline).

2. Accessibility features we've implemented

• Semantic HTML5 landmarks (header, nav, main, aside, footer) — labeled с aria-label when multiple of same type present
• WCAG-AA color-contrast compliance (4.5:1 для normal text, 3:1 for large text + UI components)
• Keyboard navigation support throughout — skip-к-content link, focus-visible outlines, ESC dismisses modals
• Screen reader compatibility (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS tested) — aria-label, aria-current, aria-live, semantic headings (h1-h6 в order)
• Alt text on all informational images (decorative images marked role="presentation")
• Resizable text up к 200% without loss of functionality
• Reduced-motion respected via prefers-reduced-motion media query
• Form labels associated с inputs; error messages programmatically announced
• Sticky in-page navigation (table of contents) для long articles
• Touch targets meet 44 × 44 px minimum (WCAG 2.5.5)

3. Known gaps

We acknowledge the following known accessibility limitations:

• Some legacy score-badge components use color-only differentiation; star-rating display added в June 2026 to provide non-color signal
• Hex-map visualization (US states grid) renders as role="group" with labeled <a> children, но screen-reader navigation could be more elegant. State table grid below the map provides alternative text-based access
• Third-party embedded content (cookie consent dialog от Klaro) — we retrofit aria-label via MutationObserver but cannot modify Klaro's internals
• А few brand-card areas с decorative dot patterns; these are aria-hidden от screen readers

4. Assessment approach

Hormonal Health Portal assessed accessibility via:

• Automated scans: axe-core 4.10 ran quarterly across 4 representative pages (home, brand detail, cost calculator, methodology). Latest run: 2026-06-03.
• Manual keyboard testing: every interactive element reachable + operable via keyboard.
• Screen reader spot-checks: VoiceOver (macOS) + NVDA (Windows).
• Contrast verification: WebAIM Contrast Checker on all design tokens.

5. Reporting accessibility issues
